Karnataka is the proud state to have both, the Silicon Valley of Bengaluru and UNESCO World Heritage sites like Hampi and Pattadakal. And with ever-growing improvements in communication soon our state will be the flag bearer of technological advancement with cultural roots. I welcome SKAL Congress to our state and foresee that it will bring a unique amalgamation of development in travel and tourism industry and technology.
I have spent decades in the Travel and Tourism Industry yet I have found every day as challenging and rewarding as never before. Not a day, not even a single moment, has passed when I have not enjoyed being a part of this amazing industry. But when I ask myself, have I been fair to this industry as it had been to me, I falter at the answer. The scars of the past pandemic are still unhealed. We must protect our people to be destroyed like that! And to protect the people we start by protecting the planet. We must adopt sustainable tourism to safeguard our people and the planet.
I am both excited and elated with Skal India Congress as this is the first time ever that two prime cities of Karnataka is hosting a Congress simultaneously. In my association with Skal International India for more than two decades, this novel event will mark the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Skal International India. Globally we will make our mark for being the proactive agency for resurgence of Indian Travel and Tourism Industry. As a member of the Karnataka Tourism Society it is also my pridethat my state is hosting such a prestigious event.
Since 1999, I am with the travel and tourism industry of Mysuru and my dream had always been to see Mysuru at its best, in splendour and glory. The Skal India Congress not only bring the fraternity of Travel and Tourism industry together it will also bring together the two prime cities of Karnataka, Bangaluru and Mysore together. In my history with Skal for more than a decade, I am proud to witness such a moment of camaraderie. It is time for us to rise to the occasion of resurgent India, and come together as a force to reckon with. Let’s Do it Mysuru and Bangaluru!
